From September through to the beginning of December, my large scale painting "Troupe Flamboyance" will be hanging in the Leigh Yawkey Woodson Art Museum. I am honoured that the painting was selected to be part of the 49th annual Birds in art exhibition.
"Birds inspire us in endless ways through their flight, beauty, and delightful mannerisms. The 49th annual exhibition celebrates avian wonders through fresh interpretations in original paintings, sculptures, and graphics created in the last three years." - Quoted from the museums website
This painting was completed in 2023 after putting together a daring composition that combined multiple images in layers. I used oil paint on linen, limiting myself to two passed of paint before allowing it to be finished. The painting is 130cm x 110cm, stretched and framed.
